Founded in 1897, the mission of the Hawaiian Humane Society is to promote the human-animal bond and the humane treatment of all aniamals. To carry out this mission, the Hawaiian Humane Society provides an array of services including aniaml adoptions; humane education; dog bite prevention program; pet visitation program; lost and found services; animal rescues; cruelty investigations; a pet loss support group; paws on the path hiking group; pets in housing resources; food, shelter and medical care for homeless animals; and volunteer programs.
