Cause Description:
GGARR is a 501(c)(3)corporation in south Florida dedicated to the rescue of abandoned, abused and/or neglected Rottweilers. Our dogs come from shelters and other rescue organizations. All dogs are UPD on immunizations, temperament tested, spayed or neutered and in good health prior to placement. We require that at least one home visit to the prospective adoptive home prior to approval for placement as well as access to the premises for spot checks after placement. Written adoption applications as well as references are required and references are checked. An adoption fee to help defray expenses as well as a written contract specifying that the dog must be returned to GGARR if the adopter is unable to keep the dog for the entire life of the dog is required. We also participate in the education of the general public about Rottweilers. All donations are applied directly to the expenses of the dogs. No member of GGARR receives any funds from the organization except for reimbursements for supplies purchased for GGARR by the member.
