Cause Description:
Coffee House Dance is a 501c3 charity that has been in existence for 40 years. This is a musical event for developmentally disabled adults and their caregivers. It provides an evening of fellowship, refreshments and live music. Coffee House Dance is held at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, at 1100 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Township. The event is on Thursday evenings starting at 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm, and runs from mid September through the end of June of each year. It is entirely volunteer operated, and has been self sufficient until the most recent year of operation. Between low attendance, and rising costs, it has been operating at a loss. We need to boost attendance and raise funds to continue this wonderful event.
