Cause Description:
We are faced with drastic cuts to our budget that directly and immediately impact educational programs. State funding has been reduced. To make up the difference between state funding and school needs for science lab, computer lab, music, arts attack, intervention support and other programs, the San Elijo Elementry School (SEES) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has created the Cash for Kids fund. Your participation with any of our fundraising events enables us to continue providing additional support for hands-on Science Lab, technology, visual and performing arts, music, Accelerated Reader, instructional aides and other important programs for our students. • Many of these programs are NOT funded by the state of California. • Many of these programs are NOT funded by your property taxes. • Many of these programs may NOT continue if we do not raise enough money to pay for them. Every student benefits from these learning programs.
